The fall of the auto industry coincides with high oil prices and poor mechanical ruggedness of Domestic Automakers. I am an engineer with 20 years of experience and I could tell you any number of stories about how and why we cant compete.

The story starts with corporate mismanagement and Union corruption and ends with politicians committing blunder after blunder while sending manufacturing and jobs (and industries) overseas.
