RSS Feed (Really Simple Syndication)

What is RSS?

Really Simple Syndication (RSS) is a simple way to monitor fresh web content. RSS feeds highlight new material so you don't have to repeatedly check a site for updates. When new information appears on Penny Sleuth, our corresponding RSS feeds are updated and your RSS reader alerts you of the new content.

RSS feeds are usually identified by the following button Typical RSS button because they are distributed in XML (Extensible Markup Language) format.

Wouldn't it be better to have the latest Penny Sleuth news, articles and features delivered directly to you, rather than clicking from site to site? Now you can! Subscribe to Penny Sleuth RSS feed.

How do I use RSS?

News Readers

It's easy; all you need is a News Reader! There is an assortment of different News Readers available and News Readers work on different operating systems, so you will want to take this into account when you make your selection.

These News Readers can be downloaded by clicking on the following links listed below.

You can subscribe to RSS feeds in a number of ways, including the following:
  • Drag the orange Typical RSS button into your News Reader
  • Drag the URL of the RSS feed into your News Reader
  • Cut and paste the URL of the RSS feed into your News Reader
Live Bookmarks

Live Bookmarks is a new technology in Mozilla Firefox web browser that allows a user to view RSS feeds.  A site is enabled for Live Bookmarks when you see this icon Mozilla Firefox Live Bookmark on the bottom right corner of the web browser.  Clicking on the icon and selecting an RSS feed will bring up the "Add Bookmark" dialog. Select 'OK' and you will see Live Bookmarks with the rest of your bookmarks. Many people find it especially convenient to save Live Bookmarks in their Bookmarks Toolbar folder.

Add RSS to My Yahoo! and Google
